The NC Peach Growers’ Society Annual Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, January 27, 2026. This year the Peach Growers’ Society is also hosting a Pre-Conference Workshop on Monday, January 26, at the Sandhills Research Station.

When: Tuesday, January 27, 2026, 8:00 a.m. – 3:45 p.m.
Where: N.C. Cooperative Extension Center, Moore County Center, 707 Pinehurst Ave., Carthage NC.

- Orchard Floor Management Update; Mr. Wayne Mitchem, Regional Orchard Floor Management Specialist, NCSU, UGA, Clemson.
- Updates from NCDA&CS Marketing; ;Ms. Khalia Daye, NCDA Marketing Specialist.
- Forming a Food Safety Plan + Food Safety Update; Ms. Elena Rogers, Area Specialized Agent, Agriculture-Fresh Produce Food Safety.

Pre-Conference Peach Production Workshop
When: Monday, January 26, 2026, 1:30 – 3:30 p.m.
Where: Sandhills Research Station- 2148 Windblow Rd, Jackson Springs, NC
Dr. Mike Parker, the North Carolina Peach Growers’ Society, and specialists from NC State University will host a peach production workshop at the Sandhills Research Station.
The program will focus on important cultural practices for peaches in the Sandhills area, including demonstrations of tree training and pruning, discussion on the use of rootstocks, current varieties, weed control, the value of irrigation and more. Come prepared with questions that can be addressed in a field setting. This is a free event. The workshop will take place in the orchard, so please dress for the weather.
